Breitbart V. Van Jones: “Bring it on Punks”

In Can You Hear Me Now?, Civil Lefts, Disappearing Ink on 24/03/2011 at 20:57

Andrew Breitbart (LIFE.com)

It is a comedic slight of history that Andrew Breitbart grew up on the mean streets of West L.A. rather than those of Flatbush or Dorchester. He has the irreverence of Muggs McGinnis and the cutting literacy of Norman Mailer, although the conservative web mogul is almost certainly not what Mailer had in mind when he thought of The New Journalism.

Nevertheless, Breitbart, a former progressive, is a street fighter, an in-the-trenches journalist provocateur who has become the bane of the New Left. While Glenn Beck received the accolades, it was Breitbart who kneecapped Van Jones, sending Obama’s communist-Truther advisor skulking out of the White House after a midnight resignation.

You gotta love this guy.

While Beck tends toward the “special,” Breitbart gives off at least the illusion that he’ll meet you in the alley to settle the matter — whatever the matter. It was Breitbart who offered $100,000 for even a snippet of footage that would show that tea party activists either spat on black members of Congress or uttered racial slurs at last year’s protest on the Capitol steps. There have been no takers to date.

Breitbart also supported James O’Keefe’s first forays into citizen journalism, resulting in Congress’s defunding of ACORN. He has since supported pro-lifer Lila Rose and another O’Keefe outing in their exposés of Planned Parenthood.

The aforementioned are a mere smattering of incidents that have propelled the Left to target Andrew Breitbart. He is one of the few conservatives in the country who can lather progressives into a vitriolic rage on the level of Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh.

And wouldn’t you know it, Van Jones is behind the latest attack.

Color of Change — don’t you just love these lefto names — an activist group co-founded by Jones, is calling for a boycott against the Huffington Post for publishing two recent entries by Breitbart.

Andrew Breitbart is a liar and a race-baiter,” wrote the organization. “Breitbart targets key people and institutions within our community, in particular those who have dared talk about the reality of racism and race in this country — Shirley Sherrod, the NAACP, President Obama, the Congressional Black Caucus. And he targets those that seek to increase Black political participation, like ACORN.”

By way of outing Color of Change, they are the group who immediately took up the cause of the Jenna Six, the black teenagers convicted of viciously beating white student Justin Barker, at a Louisiana high school in 2006.

Talk about race baiting. This outfit makes Al Sharpton look like the George Jefferson when it comes to fostering racial animus.

Van Jones is the ultimate race-baiter and this latest attack on Breitbart is just one of many in his quest to silence the free press and bring down democracy. While we have no particular love for the HuffPo, we all must resist the Left’s attempts to silence anyone with whom they disagree.

Is It Me, or is Al Sharpton Bitter? Glenn Beck Trounces a Charlatan Past His Prime

In Can You Hear Me Now? on 31/08/2010 at 17:57

Editor’s Note: Many of my articles now appear on Associated Content. Please drop by and check out the articles. Incidentally, I am also welcoming new friends on my Facebook page.

Over the weekend I watched in shock and horror as thousands of Americans from all walks of life gathered on the mall at the Lincoln Memorial and screamed racial epithets, profaned the memory of Martin Luther King and decried 50 years of integration.

They were led by Al Sharpton.

Well, of course none of that happened, but Sharpton’s rally wasn’t a pretty sight. It was a last-ditch effort (3,000 strong) for the Slim-Fast-thinned charlatan to keep a tired, flagging civil rights movement devoid of purpose afloat in post 2008-election United States.

I didn’t see Tawana Brawley but she must have been there somewhere. Tawana converted to Islam just in time to shout the Muslim call to prayer when the WTC towers were coming down.

Next door to Sharpton, Glenn Beck had amassed roughly a half million Americans of his own and carried on a non-racial, non-political and—let’s face it—uneventful event the likes of which has only been seen five other times in D.C. history.

The Washington Post, Huffington Post, MSNBC, Associated Press and CBS informed us that event garnered about 87,000 people, after they cropped their aerial shots of a crowd that ended somewhere near Richmond, Virginia. Beck, no stranger to the mainstream media (better known as the Barack Obama press corps), cleverly had his own people take a shot from the Washington Monument.

On an up note, the President informed Brian Williams that he has found the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy we’ve all been looking for since Hillary Clinton outted it during the 1990s. It was on the Washington mall last Saturday.

What have we learned from all of this? Well, in a nutshell, nothing new. We have learned that racists in a America must by definition be white, Christians are dangerous, Sarah Palin is stupid because she prays, the President has actually found his birth certificate (it was plastered on his forehead all along), and that Glenn Beck is a liar.

We learned that Alveda King is somehow less black and less King because she joined with Glenn Beck. We learned that in order to be legitimately black in America one must be liberal and subscribe to abortion, gay marriage and the Washington Post.

The New York Times informed us (on page 15) that the Restoring Honor rally was enormous, overtly religious (shame of shames), and anti-progressive.

We learned that Freedom of the Press can be corrupted when it falls into the hands of dishonest ideologues.

Elderly woman profiling ATS officer?

The suspension of six San Francisco Bay Area high school students for wearing American flag tee shirts on Cinco de Bye-Bye-O proves once and for all that profiling works.

The boys were white, the shirts were Old Navy, and … What? They didn’t join in to sing “La Bamba?” Somebody call Al Sharpton. Extradite these miscreants to Guadalajara. Next thing you know their fathers will be buying them guns for graduation. And you know what that leads to—Tea Parties. Next stop Oklahoma City, and Kaboom!

Every veteran and every taxpayer within driving distance should be storming the steps of that school tomorrow.

What the hell is this place coming to? This week the media are in a feeding frenzy because Sarah Palin dared mention that America is a Christian nation. This to the astonishment of Newsweek Magazine (which, incidentally, the Washington Post can’t sell for scrap paper) columnist David Waters.

Breaking News, David: We ain’t Muslim yet!

The Democrats historically have been able to turn over a rock somewhere and find a cowering Republican to tell us that we need to be more sensitive on immigration. Tada! Out comes Connie Mack, Mark Rubio and, well, who’s running for reelection in New Mexico? Just dial 1-800-IMA-WHIMP.

Who do these morons think are invading the country?

The Left in this country has been profiling for thirty years. They profiled Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas; the feminists profiled Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann and Elizabeth Hasselbeck.

The Right has held itself to a stringent set of PC rules designed by Liberals for conservatives and that they change whenever the political winds shift to suit them.

These boys in San Francisco are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the Left’s attack on freedom of speech in this nation, and if the GOP and conservatives at large let them get away with it, it will soon be illegal to carry the Stars and Stripes.

Thirty years without profiling groups dangerous to the security of our nation gave us the 9-11 terrorists. Just how many WASPS do you think sign up for flying lessons and want to skip takeoff and landing? It has given us Fort Hood, and the Littlerock recruiter shootings.

It seems futile to pound this drum night after night, but we better damn well start profiling, and soon. Southern Baptist grandmothers in wheelchairs are not trying to destroy us. The Idaho Militia is not running drugs across our Southern borders.

Cinco de Mayo is NOT a holiday anywhere north of Juarez. So how is it that someone here on the good graces of the American people, in spite of their illegal status, can have an American flag thrown off campus?

Americans are paying the taxes to finance this nonsense and it is time for us to have a say in how those taxes are spent. Thousands are out of work in California alone and the City of Los Angeles employs 972,000 “informal workers.” Code for illegal aliens.

It is time for citizens to profile and target politicians and civil servants who defy the will of the people, and bring pressure to get them out.
