Dumbniks? Krugman, Schieffer Join Dupnik in Condemning the Right for Shootings

Joining the thrall of irresponsible liberals to go after conservative talk radio and television, in the wake of the Arizona massacre over the weekend, are Bob Schieffer and Paul Krugman, Krugman specifically blaming Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.

The left stepped out almost immediately after the shooting in Tucson Saturday to condemn anyone to the right of Gandhi for the actions of a deranged nihilist who witnesses say had no party ties. The Huffington Post was one of the first to posit the position that Palin might be responsible, but the others caught the train running before it left the station, speculating that the shootings may have been backlash caused by Palin’s “crosshairs” map, which targeted districts on her list of Democrats to be defeated in last November’s election.

ABC’s Christianne Amanpour was on the air Sunday to “speculate” on facts not in evidence regarding the Arizona gunman’s ties to Sarah Palin and the Tea Party.

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik—who himself looked and sounded a little disoriented—in an interview with Fox New anchor Megyn Kelly, went on a nearly 10 minute diatribe against “vitriolic rhetoric that we hear day in and day out from people in the radio business and some people in the TV business.”

Ironically, it was a leader of Dupnik’s target group, conservative website purveyor Andrew Brietbart, who went on record at Breitbart.com to immediately call for members of all sides of the political spectrum to refrain from politicizing the event. Still, political bomb-throwers on the left moved quickly to ink the franchise on creating news out of whole cloth.

Although I completely agree with Breitbart, when Jane Fonda, poster girl for embryonic stem cell cosmetology, steps out between religious conversions and aerobic workouts to blame Palin, I have to strap on my guns.

Sorry Andrew.
