Memo to Tailor: Let Out The Inseam

The President bows to Akihito

Ouch! That pinched.

Okay, what did Barack Obama accomplish this week on his Asian tour?

Oh, yeah, he brought the presidency down to the level of a 16th rate banana republic by bowing to his second irrelevant world leader since taking office. You remember the bow that wasn’t a bow to the Saudi sheik? Emperor Akihito seemed thrilled. Who wants to be the greatest nation on earth, anyway.

What else? Well, he had Eric Holder bring the face of terrorism back to American shores. I know that Geraldo Rivera and Juan Williams think this is okay, but I’m pretty sure it’s a bad idea. I don’t know what Juan’s excuse is, but Geraldo might have huffed too much coke during the seventies. I’m slow, but I’m having a hard time understanding how we can treat Native American tribes as sovereign nations and can’t seem to do the same with Islamic extremists. But that’s just me.

I’ll move on. It’s amazing to me how much a president can accomplish when he’s 12,000 miles away. Automaker General Motors only lost $1.2 billion. That’s progress. You go, Barry!

Almost forgot, he confirmed his dedication to climate change to Japan’s prime minister, Junichiro Koizumi—that’s the Elvis impersonator. Both of them may be a little optimistic, unless they have a way of shutting off Mount Pinatubo.

Hey, Obama got the Chinese to agree to stop polluting the planet. Just kidding, but he did announce that he would reach out to them. Barack, count you fingers if you shake hands with Wen Jiabao. He’s smarter than you.

Also from Japan the President reiterated his warning that we shouldn’t jump to conclusions in the Nidal Malik Hasan terrorism case. Unfortunately the 13 Americans who heard “Allah Akbar” as the last words before they died won’t get the message.

Somehow I missed Obama’s dunk in the Ganges. Wait, that’s in India.

Well, maybe next time.

  1. Don, The more Blog’s you create, the more I look foward to the next one.
    Keep them coming.

  2. Great one again…..it is a bit ridiculous, isn’t it? I wonder what is in this guy’s mind. Does not know anything about protocol? Someone in the WH needs to give him some lessons…but now that I think about it..I doubt if there is anyone in the WH now that knows anything about protocol or manners for that matter…..
