Al Hailey, Won’t You Please Come Home?

In yet another bonehead move involving the nation’s security, Reuters reports that the Obama Justice Department will try the 9-11 suspects in New York.

The five Islamic terrorists, including believed mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, were on military trial by tribunal at Guantanamo, until the Administration uprooted them, and declared them criminals rather than prisoners of war.

In a statement this morning from his vacation retreat in Japan, Obama said, “I am absolutely convinced that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will be subject to the most exacting demands of justice.” This for a man—and I use the term loosely—who by his own admission planned the Trade Center, Pentagon, and Flight 93 attacks on American soil, as well as, the beheading of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

But, Mr. President, these were not criminal acts; they were acts of war.

Not since Alex Haley perpetrated the Roots hoax during the 1970s, has white America wanted, so much, to believe in a single African American, as we have Barack Obama. What did we expect? Kunta Kinte? Martin Luther King? Doctor Huxtable?

Barack Obama’s rush to get Nidal Malik Hasan a private rubber room in Belleview this week was one thing; but to afford Khalid Mohammad the right to U.S. intelligence at trial is a whole new level of insult to the American people.

What other possible ramifications might we be in store for with the Administration’s moving terrorists onto U.S. soil for trial? Maybe the President forgot that they massacred 3,000 New Yorkers in 2001. Does he not wonder whether he could be provoking another attack on the city?

This has to be the stupidest thing an American president has done since George W. Bush told our soldiers to take the week off for Ramadan and let Osama Bin Laden ride his donkey into Pakistan during the bombing of Tora Bora.

I’ll take the Roots Hoax any day. If I’m going to be defrauded, it might as well be by a character that inspires hope.

  1. This is one more or 6 more reasons to get this guy out of office in 2012…..hopefully the American people will realize it soon.
