That Ain’t No Baptist Church He’s Building

The first thing the Left does whenever a controversy arises over their nutso passivity when it comes to Islam is to say something like, “George Bush did it first.” As if George the Junior somehow represents all things conservative or that he even is a conservative.

Being frank here: George Walker Bush was the best we had to offer; he was not a conservative by a long stretch; he presided over the biggest spending, most out of control Republican Party since Ike, he is a progressive and anyone who listens to a half hour interview with that overly hair spayed twit he’s married to—this is how you identify a progressive, check out the spouse—knows it. A good and decent man, but a classic bungler nonetheless.

There, I got that out. That’s me being frank.

Let’s suppose for a moment that Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is a patriotic Arab American who really believes the 9-11 attacks were “un-Islamic” and declares it vociferously, whenever he’s sure that another Muslim who might stuff a grenade down his shorts isn’t within earshot. Let’s just suppose for a moment.

Let’s also suppose that the fact that George W. Bush’s State Department sent him to the Middle East with several shiploads of coveted Levi 501s, tons of Coors brewskis (which only Saudi sheiks and other Arab potentates can drink without getting stoned to death), Mac laptops, and even more coveted Beatles Anthology CDs. And that the red, white and blue Imam had a gloriously successful speaking tour of Syria, Iran, Lebanon and Jordan, in which he converted a few hundred thousand otherwise American-hating jihadists to moderate Islam.

So what? Does that make what he’s doing in Manhattan okay?

Of course Imam Rauf does not believe the 9-11 attacks were un-Islamic; he is like every other zipper-lipped Muslim—the ones who can’t bring themselves to say the “T-word”— who got up and danced the Balki “dance of joy” when the WTC towers came down.

He is, however, not nearly stupid enough to turn down an imbecilic Republican president’s offer of hundreds of thousands of dollars to travel Mecca Air first class on the State Department’s dime and love it up with the Jihad.

George W. Bush was obviously as stupid as the Imam was smart in that regard.

But I ain’t.

This Bronze Age throwback means to put his mosque in Lower Manhattan as a memorial to the jihadists who brought down the Twin Towers. He intends to make certain that five times a day until his messiah comes, Muslims kneel in that place to pray the dua qunoot, a prayer that Allah’s wrath will overtake infidels (meaning you and me and every Jew who was lucky enough not to be gassed and burned at Auschwitz), while the call to prayer echoes over Ground Zero.

It is time for the waning majority of Americans who still understand the exceptional history of this nation to wake up. The very thing, the exceptionalism that makes us the “Ugly American” to the Left, is dying off on the vine by the day.

The massive trade imbalance between this country and other nations of the world should be evidence enough that the United States has lost her savvy to negotiate, and right now we are engaged in a negotiation with an enemy that will destroy the very Judeo-Christian foundation of this nation.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is a true believer; he believes in the strict application of Sharia law and he is determined to see it practiced in cities across this nation.

Even Republicans in Laguna Niguel can understand this; just read this exhaustively researched article. We will wait while you catch up.

There. Now we’re on the same page … I hope.

I have said and still say that I do not hate Muslims; I bear them no ill will whatsoever as long as they have neither AK-47s slung over their shoulders or vests packed with C-4 strapped around their bodies.

This is my only problem with Muslims: We never know, because you do not speak out against these monsters or their atrocities. And on the rare occasions in which you issue any statement about them at all, you parse it down with outrageous lies like: “Osama bin Laden is made in the USA.”

I don’t care where Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is getting his funding for his Ground Zero Mosque. If I assume, as do morons like Alan Colmes, Chris Matthews, Michael Bloomberg and a plethora of other idiot progressives, that the Imam merely wants to “build a bridge” in the wake of this unspeakable atrocity, he is at the very least insensitive.

Ground Zero is sacred ground for all patriotic Americans. It is the grave of 2,752 Americans who died horrible deaths on September 11, 2001.

We would not tolerate any similar action by the Japanese at Pearl Harbor, and if we know what is good for us, we will not tolerate it here. The Ground Zero Mosque represents a point-of-no-return-moment for America.

It represents the very moment at which we will no longer be able to distinguish our enemies from our friends.

Ahmadinejad’s Clever Gambit: Shift Focus to Israelis

The United States lived under threat of nuclear war for decades. Had many of these events been publicized, at different times throughout the 1950s and into the 1970s, the threat would have stood hairs on end on American necks. The fear was palpable at several crucial moments during the early years, as the Soviet Union moved to solidify ts hold on the Eastern bloc, and later during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Today the U.S. faces a much different kind of nuclear threat. Although there was always a distinct possibility that the former USSR or the US would, if relations deteriorated, resort to nuclear force, there developed a kind of attenuated peace; both sides realized that the Nuclear Option would produce no clear winner.

No such rationale exists in the mind of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or the mullah-run regime that backs him. Holy war, in the minds of jihadists, produces victory, even in defeat. They always find a way to take “infidels” with them.

As noble as the idea of a worldwide union of nations may have been in the minds of Woodrow Wilson and FDR, America’s current crisis with Iran is perhaps the best example of the folly of such a dream. The weak sanctions inacted by the UN against Iran in the face of overwhelming evidence that the government there fully intends to build a nuclear arsenal, produced, as any objective thinker will observe, absolutely no results. It is difficult to take action against a rogue Islamic regime when the body that can levy the severest sanctions is full of rogue Islamics.

So, consequently, the U.S. and its allies the European Union levied unilateral sanctions against the terrorist state. And now Iran, as it sees its oil imports choked off, is feeling the pinch. This week Ahmadinejad made what in the minds of those unfamiliar of Iran’s history in the Middle East seemed a bizarre announcement. He said that Israel and the U.S. intend to attack at least two countries in the region in the next three months.

Why would Ahmadinejad make such a statement, when not a shred of evidence exists to warrant it? Israel will, barring U.S. action to staunch Iran’s nuclear ambitions, eventually take out the country’s nuclear reactors, but nothing suggests that the Israelis intend all out war with its neighbors.

As comical as Ahmadinejad seems to many Americans, he is a dangerous man. By planting the seed of an “unprovoked” Israeli attack on its neighbors (and the two countries would have to be Lebanon and Syria), he diverts attention from his country and shifts it to Israel.

It is a ridiculous charge in the eyes of most of the western world, but in the minds of Syrians and Hezbollah’s stooges in Lebanon it is gospel. They not only believe it but they are armed and ready to make a preemptive strike to stop it.

Ahmadinejad has made a clever move; he is attempting to set off a series of events that could result in a war between Syria, Lebanon and Israel. It happened in much the same manner in 1967, when the Soviets seeded a similar rumor with Egypt.

Pressure is mounting in the Middle East for the U.S. to take action against Iran. Arab nations are now openly suggesting that America take out Iran’s nuclear reactors and support is growing for the Western sanctions. Ahmadinejad is becoming desperate to shift the focus from Iran’s nuclear ambitions and onto the world favorite whipping boy, Israel.

A war between Israel and Syria and Hezbollah right now is the only way that Iran can worm its way out of a very tight squeeze. The United States and its allies will have to act soon if it is to sideline a war between Israel and its northern neighbors.

A Question of Competency or Patriotism?

In Obamarama on 18/07/2010 at 20:01

Barack Obama is a very angry man. He grew up angry. During the course of his upbringing he was exposed to some of the most rancid thinking American society has to offer. His mother spewed her hatred for America from the time she was in high school, his grandfather placed him under the influence of pedophile-communist Frank Marshall Davis, and he learned at a tender age to despise this country’s form of government.

While most black Americans view him as an African American male, the President has neither history nor interest in the civil rights struggle of the 1960s, or of Afro-American politics in general. He is African but not African American. The best description would probably be African Indonesian.

He was coddled in his views into adulthood in liberal universities, and he joined the Trinity United Church of Christ because of them.  Obama may not be a racist but the indications are there when one considers the views of Jeremiah Wright, a man he has admitted to thinking of as “an uncle.”

Obama’s views on Israel and Jews in general—his obviously pro-Muslim leanings—fly in the face of modern Christianity, yet the media have diligently to this day run cover for him. Even Bill O’Reilly at Fox, who was in the best position to expose him during the 2008 campaign, simply could not believe that then Senator Obama could have such fetid and archaic opinions. But Black Liberation Theology is out in the open with its anti-Semitism and anti-White American rhetoric.

It is distasteful to say that an American president hates his country. Just as we have all been taught not to call another person a liar, to question one’s patriotism is serious business. In fact it is so incomprehensible that most Americans simply cannot believe it.  As a nation we have learned to by-and-large trust our government and it offends our sensibilities to believe that such a glitch could have occurred. We cannot have elected a radical extremist to the presidency.

But the question remains: Is it true?

In order to believe otherwise one would have to accept that this top-of-the-class Columbia-Harvard educated young man is completely incompetent. To believe that in 18 short months Barack Obama could take a serious downturn in the U.S. economy and turn it into a nightmarish mountain of debt and regulation by accident, further choking off private business and jobs, defies all rationality. Even the dumbest president has an advisor or two—no matter how ideological—who can see the ramifications of these actions.

No. Incompetency is not an issue here.

Start with the Justice Department: Obama’s buddy Eric Holder has turned the DOJ into an arm of the ACLU overnight. In the face of a public outcry he has dragged his feet in prosecuting the admitted 9-11 terrorists. He has ignored cases against domestic extremists like SEIU and the New Black Panther Party and marched ahead with prosecutions of Arizona and investigations of perceived civil rights violations by Whites.

Homeland Security: Rick Perry requested drone support on the Texas border years ago. This Administration dragged its feet for months before deploying even one, while cartel violence is spilling over the border with alarming regularity. Arizona is leaking like a sieve and Napolitano continues to maintain that the border is safer than ever.

State Department: Obama—and this goes directly to his anti-Semitic leanings—has gone out of his way to torpedo US-Israeli relations.  The climate between the two nations is at its coldest in history.
He has offended our greatest ally, Great Britain and created rancor where none previously existed.

Treasury: Incompetence?  You call it.   Timothy Geithner has been in charge of over $1 trillion and has yet to net one private-sector job.  His relationship with AIG in the Fannie Mae debacle was dubious when Obama nominated him.

Defense: Although Robert Gates’ credibility cannot be questioned, Obama’s prosecution of the Afghan War literally reeks of defeatism or an intentional waste of American lives and resources, take your pick.

Interior: For 40 long days the Administration either neglected or intentionally failed to commandeer the resources that could stave off much of the oil blowing out of the Deepwater Horizon well from reach vital wetlands and beaches on the Southern Coast.

Barack Obama has never been slow a day in his life: he is fast on the basketball court, has a lightning-quick wit, is fast on debating issues, and is arguably a rhetorical genius. Yet during the Christmas Day Bombing incident, the Deepwater spill, the Fort Hood Massacre, he has been spectacularly AWOL until the worst of the damage has been done. Why?

This president does not have an incompetence problem; he has a patriotism problem.
